 WHAT ABOUT
STEREO EQUIPMENT?
 It is readily available and anyone can get started easily. Some new cameras, projectors and viewers are on the market. However, most of the club employs used equipment, most of it in the "Realist" format, the club standard. There are several organizations with magazines or newsletters with lots of good information in them.

   WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO
CREATE STEREO SLIDES?
   Slide Formats      
     Realist format 24mm x 23mm film apertures (5 perforation)
     European format 24mm x 30mm (7 perforation)
     Two 2" x 2" 35mm slides taken side by side
   Equipment

 Stereo cameras circa 1950 -- (Realist, Kodak, Stereo Graphic, Revere, TDC, Wollensak,)

These cameras are available from some camera dealers, stores, classified ads, Shutterbug, internet auctions and specialty sale shows

       Single Lens Camera with a slide bar
       New cameras -- (FED and RBT)
       Twin camera setup
       Stereo print cameras --(Loreo, Nishika and Nimslo)
       ViewMaster cameras available for veiwmaster formats (round reels)
 

 Film

     
       Any 35mm slide (transparency) film
 

 Processing

     
       Processing is done professionally
 

 Mounting

     
       Professional mounting
       Film exposed with a stereo camera can be mounted in cardboard stereo
mounts by Kodalux
   

Mount yourself

Request professional developing with “DO NOT CUT, DO NOT MOUNT and then cut the film yourself. Mounting can be done in cardboard, metal frame in
cardboard, or glass mounted. Glass mounting is the best for projection. By mounting them yourself, a higher quality is usually achieved.
